Killing the StreetStyle: Grandma Edition

  Hey darlings!

Yesterday, I was such a BEAUTIFUL day in the city – what spring is really about it! It’s been such a longggg winter that I was beginning to believe that we might not see the beauty of spring; I’m sure many of you can agree as well. There was a slight breeze in the midst of the sunny day, so I couldn’t get too excited and walk out the house half naked as I saw many people did! But who could blame them? We’re all desperate for some warm change in the weather. Needless to say, I’m still in my tomboyish mood but I still wanted to keep it chic. Therefore, I decided to wear these rugged-knee denim rolled up to give me a James Dean look and pair it up with this beautiful blouse that belonged to my late grandmother who passed away last July. You know, I’m not sure if grieving ever gets better because when I begin to think about all the deaths in my family, I just tear up. I miss my grandmother so much – I miss her feistiness, sass, love, and of course, her amazing cooking. I hope she’s proud of the woman that I’ve become, looking down from heaven. And I hope to honor her with this take in wearing her blouse. Be inspired 😉 Miss you Grandma! Xoxo

It’s my time, so don’t be surprised.
I plan to conquer the world, one day at a time and so should you. We have everything we need inside of us to do so. So let’s conquer this world and look good at it too! Be inspired;)

Brick Casual: What I Wore In My Last Post

Hey darlings, here’s a full shot of what I wore in my last post! Fall is a very funny time of the year, at least weather wise, but I’m learning to embrace it. You know how it’s freezing in the morning but then warm during the day? Yeaaaaaaaaa that’s what I can’t deal with: weather bipolarism!! Lol. But, in this look, I decided to add a vintage accessory to add some edge to the basic tee and trousers: a vintage scarf! It actually belongs to my mother (don’t tell her I got it, but shoot she follows my blog so I’m screwed now anyways lol)! However, even if your style isn’t vintage, a scarf is always a great accessory to dress up or down your look. So be inspired and try it out! Good day!

NYFW: Day 4

As New York Fashion Week continues, fashionistas are pulling out their best work (me included)! Yesterday, I attended Tao Ray Wang’s SS’15 Presentation which just blew me away seriously! By the time the show was over, I was nearly on the floor having died from her BEAUTIFUL collection! I’ll give more coverage on Tao Ray Wang’s SS’15 presentation in the next post! But, for now, be inspired to step outside of the box in your wardrobe and wear your confidence!

Dreams Come True: NYFW Stella Nolasco SS’15 Presentation

Ahhhh hey y’all!

So today I attended my first Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week show down in Lincoln Center! I attended Stella Nolasco Spring/Summer ’15 Presentation which was just STELLAR and EXCITING! No, I didn’t model this time but I attended as a spectator! It was such a dream come true for me! I never thought I would be sitting in those seats in the Pavilion where it was held! I moved to NYC 3 years ago to pursue my modeling career and it’s been a long time coming; every year I got closer and closer to being under those tents. And I just KNOW that it’s apart of my purpose by the feeling I got when I stood on the pavements at Lincoln Center. All I could say was, “God I made it.” Just being around all of the fashionistas as well as contributing my own fashion sense was just SURREAL! So I’m sharing this moment with you to encourage you all to continue going after your dreams! They will come true, just keep going! Don’t give up!
