Testimony Alert: DON’T GIVE UP!

MORNING REPORT!! I just wanted to share with you all this morning a little testimony! These last couple of weeks I just wanted to throw in the towel and say forget it to all of my dreams and wanted to go back home. I was over it. BEYOND. However, last week a woman that I know sent me an email asking me if she could forward my contact info over to another young lady who is interested in modeling. OF COURSE, I told her to send my info over. Within a day, I received an email from this young lady telling me how inspired she was because of me pursuing my modeling career and breaking barriers and is now inspired to pursue modeling herself since it’s something she’s always wanted to do. She then proceeds to tell me that she is VISUALLY IMPAIRED and because of that, she was afraid to pursue it, but now she’s going to GO AFTER it! This young lady had no idea I was ready to give up a couple of weeks ago. For those who know my story, then you understand the meaning of this. And to think I was about to throw in the towel and then receive this email?! Mann, she just made everything so worth it and I promise to NOT give up on my dreams. FRIENDS AND FAMILY, let this be a testament to NOT GIVE UP for there’s someone waiting to follow in your footsteps. To God be the Glory!!

A Luxurious Fight When Your Past Creeps Up

What do you do when your past keeps rising up?

What do you do?

It always seems like every time you take a step forward, the past attempts to take you three steps backwards. It’s like the past never wants to release you. Ugh.

And this is where many of us struggle: we are living in the present while trying to reach towards the future yet the past wants to bring us back. It’s a battle. And a hard battle at that.

You’re ready to move on. But, the past isn’t ready for you to move on. Ugh.

But, so what! Move on anyways!

Every time that your past decides to creep up, it’s just an indication of a CHANGE, a BREAKTHROUGH, that’s getting ready to eradicate it’s very presence. You’re getting closer and closer, so that’s why your past is arising more than ever. But, keep on pushing. Keep on moving forward. Keep on pressing. When the past comes up, don’t even give it any energy. Bounce that thought and keep it moving. Tell your past, “You’re just mad that my greater is coming, but I’m moving on anyways!”

So darlings, KEEP MOVING ON!!

Doing Something Luxuriously Different

I just literally just got off the phone with my best friend and we had a great thought-provoking conversation concerning my future.  I’m really grateful to have a friend who truly supports me through it all.  But, she posed a question that stirred my spirit asking me, “What are you going to do differently this time?”.  What am I going to do differently this time around pursing my career?  As the saying goes, do the same thing and you’ll get the same results; do something different and you’ll get different results.

Well, making it in NYC isn’t the easiest task, to say the least.  It’s like a secret love/hate relationship.  You love it here so much but it’s so hard trying to make it which I hate.  The struggle.  New York is the hardest place to live, in my opinion, in which I believe others would agree.  As they say, “If you can make it in NYC, you can make it anywhere.”  I’m almost certain that I can make it in all the other 49 states of America.  But, New York though?  I think I’m being tested from all angles.  If people only knew what I’ve been through just to live here!

Survival of the Fittest + The Concrete Jungle = New York City.

Sometimes I think I’m crazy for trying to pursue my dreams in NYC. And sometimes, I start to believe it. Lol.

No, seriously.

But, what am I going to do differently this time?  I don’t want the same results; I need to bear fruit.

Hmmmm.

You know what?  I know what I’m going to do this time.  I’m going to do what’s out of my comfort zone.  Whatever I was afraid of, I’m going to attack it and do it.  THAT’s what I’m going to do differently. There are so many things that I want to do but there are minor hurdles along the way that stretches me,  but I don’t want to overcome them because they’re out of MY comfort zone.

At this point in my life,  I’m left with no choice but to do something differently to get different results.  And the way to do that is to do everything that’s out of my comfort zone.

So, what are you doing to do differently?
