Opportunities upon Opportunities!!

Ahhhh this is my reaction to all the many opportunities that are coming my way! Honestly, it’s one opportunity after another and it’s all due to God! I’m super blessed and can’t wait to share them with you darlings. I have a MAJOR opportunity tomorrow but I don’t think I’ll have the time to blog about in the midst of it, but I’ll try. However, keep pushing and going after your dreams. God will open doors that no man can shut! 😉

AMOL: Long Tall Sally Clothing Pop-Up Shop Event

Good Morning darlings!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine’s was refreshing which was much needed (I’ll write about it in the next post, so look out for that).  But, I attended the Pop-Up Shop event for Long Tall Sally, a clothing line for tall women!  First, I didn’t even know this clothing line even existed.  And secondly, all of their clothes were tailored to fit all of us 6 feet wonders!  Yes, I nearly 6’0 ft, if you haven’t noticed by now in my pictures. Depending on which doctor I visit, I’m either 5’11 or 6’0ft, but whatever.  Just know know I’m in that category.  Anyways, I was super stoked because I have THE hardest time finding pants to the point, I hardly wear pants.  If do wear pants, it’s mainly leggings.  I actually now have only 2 pair of jeans (I bought my 2nd pair two weeks ago from Ann Taylor – they’re really ankle pants on me lol).   Seriously.  However, this clothing line consisted of an array of dresses, denim, trousers, blazers, shoes, and much more.  Surprisingly, that day, the only shoe sizes that were available on site were 12 and up! Crazily, I didn’t even know we had women shoe sizes greater than 12!  Overall, It was awesome to run through all the racks like a little girl and try on their amazing dresses as well as connect with other beautiful tall women.  The continental breakfast provided was a plus too (because Lord knows I was hungry!! lol).  So, for all of you tall women or those who know tall women, I highly recommend Long Tall Sally.  Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!  You can visit their website @ http://us.longtallsally.com/

See below for pics from the event!

You see the denim lengths just hanging off the table?! Yeaaa

Tops. Trousers. And tall women!

The back of this GORGEOUS dress!

Relax! There’s hope for us tall women! I’m actually standing on my tippy toes! Praise the Lord – no more high water pants! Lol!

This was seriously the BEST dress in there! Spring, are you here yet???

Connected with another tall beauty and blogger (www.TheTallMuse.com)! She was so sweet!

NYFW: Skingraft Review

Hey darlings,

I hope you all had a marvelous weekend!

March is finally here and it’s a brand new month to start over and complete what we didn’t finish last month.  Yes, time is flying and we’re all getting busier, but it’s important that we stay true to the course and push it out.  Well, for starters, I’m going to give you this review of Skingraft’s Fall/Winter ’15 Collection as promised from New York Fashion Week (oh, it’s never too late for a fashion review my dears!!).  Prior to this February, Skingraft was far off my radar into the land of unknown: I had no clue that this designer brand even existed.  An unfortunate cause for me.  But, thanks to the heavens above, I have uncovered and am now officially sold to this masterful work of clothes.  Skingraft’s fall/winter collection serves not just killer looks, but screams “ATTITUDE”.  The provoking color palette of black and cream with a small hint of delicate stripes and patterns, I was amazed at how they captured my attention with primarily two colors and KEPT me wanting more.  Yes, it’s true that black is the new black.  But, loose-knit leather and tall brim hats are the new essentials for the cool kids.  The funky twists on the men’s leather trench coat had the audience gagging for more!  Even the turtlenecks for men, placed under leather bomber jackets brought the cool to being cool.  Skingraft’s brilliant touch of their striped over-sized capes for both the men and women coupled with booties and sneakers electrified the essence of street style.  You can also plan to be warm in their drapey motorcycle pants, redefining the baggy pants syndrome, yet with comfortability. Honestly, if you want to be seen and cool, then my friends you’ve found your new designer brand. And you can thank me later.

#FBF – NYFW: Taoray Wang Review

Hey darlings,

Now that New York Fashion Week is over, I can now relax and BREATHE!  It was SUCH an exciting week filled with great experiences and amazing opportunities!  As promised, I want to give you a detailed description of what designer Taoray Wang presented at her Fall/Winter ’15 Collection.  After making her New York Fashion Week debut last season, one could only expect Taoray Wang to deliver an impeccable daring collection for her second roundup with New York Fashion Week. And she did. Not a surprise to me.  However, the newbies should keep an eye out for this woman who demands the attention of the world. Overall, with an eye for the modern woman, Taoray Wang once again captured the essence of a woman’s femininity.  Touching on the versatility of classic colors of heather grey,  summer navy, and heavy blacks, her clothes were presented with flattering silhouettes, consisting of various cloth materials for every woman to stay warm this fall/winter. Her clever polka dot ensembles showed her ability to dress the daring woman who wants to have fun but maintain her chic-ness. Without a doubt, the chunky shoes, presenting comfortability, and the ankle booties with a shot of a fresh blue amongst the classic black, struck the runway with a fierceness like none the other.  The textured collars, long drapey dresses, and embroidered flower wovens stamped her jaw-dropping signature throughout her entire collection.  Lest not forget the modern-girl-gone-edgy biker leather jackets and staple wool coats at every length can surely boost a girl’s confidence both on the street and in the office.  I was amazed once again at Taoray Wang’s creativity and daring looks; I already have check list of what I will be purchasing. Honestly, every girl needs an item in their closet from Taoray Wang’s Fall/Winter collection.  And I won’t say I told you so.
